Hello first of all thanks for checking out this thread. My 16:2 mixer is going to an amp then to my speakers. When i do this i do not hear any electronic noise or interference with the mixer. Now when i plug it directly from the left and right out on the mixer to my computer i get a very annoying loud humming noise. Now i know the wires that are going to my pc are working because it works fine with the tape out on my p.a. There is also an unbalanced line out for r.c.a. adapters. I use these and i still get the sound. I need to figure out what the problem is. I want to use the mixer instead of the p.a. because it has more channels. I dont know if the mixer is just screwed or if there is something i can do to fix it.

are you actually getting sound from the boards outputs or just hum alone?

well the sound comes when i actually plug in the mixer. It stays constant when i turn it on as well i have played with all settings and tried to get the rca as far away from the power as possible.

i'm still unclear on wether you are getting hum along with your signal or just hum alone.

i'll assume hum along with your signal. if your mixer and pc are plugged into different outlets, you could have a ground loop. if you can, connect your mixer and pc to the same outlet/powerstrip and see if that helps.
