"Mine tanker" with real Hammond&Leslie

Hey, didn't you post another vid with a different song from "Mine Tanker," but the same video theme? I really didn't hear much Hammond/Lesile in that song, I am afraid.

If the Hammond and Leslie are truly "very old," they are probably worth restoring. Any of them made before about 1970 is likely to have tone wheels that produce the notes. The "holy trinity" of Hammonds is "tone wheels, draw bars and tubes." Even if it's a "spinet," (13 foot pedals, instead of 25) if it's got the trinity, it's worth restoring. If it's got transistor-generated tones, it's junk, at least here in the States.

Nice intro. Any chance of a translation of the lyrics.
I can hear the Hammond - nice touch also. The lead lines in the chorus really fit the song.
Good tone on the solo w just enough reverb/delay.
At 3.23 the vocal gets swamped by the cymbal for a moment.
Cool stuff Sikter. Nice to hear more stuff coming from Studio Angie.

I think it sounded quite good overall. It does have a real nice chorus, good feel there.

Nice work.

You can stream/download "Mine tanker-mp3".
No video available yet, but we're shooting scenes for it these days.
(I forgot that there is a vid on top of my music page.
That's another song. Sorry!)

Hello RayC,
I'll try to translate it soon and let you know when lyrics are up.
(You can check another new song "She and I" if you havn't already)
I've been driving a LOT this summer and now I am back. I'm working on many new songs and one video.

Thank you for the tip, I'll fix it at 3,23
You were right.
Thanks to you I can hear now some of backing vocals are too high and some are too low.

Yep, I listened to the wrong song. Once I listened to the right one, I heard the Hammond. Well done.

Very nice Sikter!
Great mix and performance. Beautiful lead guitar lines. Nice flowing feel in the quieter parts.
Nice work!

As I promissed: translated lyrics:

"My thoughts"

I make my thoughts.
And we go our seperate ways in life.
Is that what we want to happen?
I have my days, where everything is black, but you`re there.
You smile at me, and say you like me.

Chorus:
If we could have time to be togheter,
and we could understand that it was good.
When you tell me "I love you",
I'm looking forward to meet.
Can I believe in you, what you say to me.

But I make my thoughts. Remember:
You are you and me is me, on different tracks,
going our separate ways, we don't know where to.
There are days, when you are there and I`m here,
and I miss you,
Where ever I am, you are close to.

Sikter,
A good read though it does suffer a little from translation - though I admire your facility with 2 languages (I'm monolingual).
She & I is nice - the mandolin style (is it a 12 string) behind the spoken part is nice. I have to admit that the spoken part doesn't work for me - purely because it's not in English.

Thank you Ray,
English is actually my 4th language. My next goal is to learn Spanish.
My oldest daughter is 5 years old end she already speaks 3 totally different languages. The other one doesn't speak any
I used semi acoustic 6-string Takamine for all my acoustic guitar tracks.
I experimented with different echo-FX on that solo part.
I'm intending to buy a mandolin. That was my very first instrument actually. My brother bought mandolin to me because I wasn't allowed to touch his acoustic 12-string. And you know, forbidden fruit tastes best. That's how I started to play guitar some 30 years ago.

I think it's pretty good overall. The drums are little too compressed sounding in the choruses. They get kind of lost at times. Particularly the snare. Nice tones and sounds everywhere else.

Mate,
I figured you'd be at least trilingual given your location in Europe. 4 is amazing - but then again that's part of living in Europe I suppose - that & having a good brain that can cope with it all.
