I think the MidiVerb 4 is a great multieffects processor. I have owned them on several occations and found myself coming back to them. One thing I like about them over some of the other processors in its price range is that it has balanced TRS jacks.
Could you give me a little information on the function of the TRS plugs? I know they are there but have never tried to hook them up. I run my reverb through the FX busses on my recording unit, Yam MD-8; the unit does have a couple of TRS plugs but have not quite figured out how to use them.
Thanks,
Green Hornet
PS I also have an Alesis Micro/or/ Midi verb;
can't remember when I'm at the office and the unit is at home in the studio. Pretty good sounds inside; I also have a horse FX box, the Ensonique DP-4 and it has some good grooves in it too.
TRS is Tip-Ring-Sleeve which is used for balanced connections. Not all mixing boards have balanced effect send and returns connections, so you will have to look at your owner's manual to see if your board does. The MidiVerb will still work with unbalanced boards and connections.
