midiman usb keystation

Howdy-has anyone out there tried these controllers? I'm just looking to add some basic piano or organ to the mix, and can access home studio 2002 for instruments etc.I'm using the Delta 44 and have no midi ins or outs, so I thought this may be an affordable way to go.I haven't been able to find any reviews on the subject, so I would greatly appreciate any info, especially on the 61 key model, which I can get for about $195. Thanks-scott
 
I dont have one, but Im thinking of getting one. It appears to be a pretty nice unit for midi apps. I have a keyboard but no pitch bender wheels which is why Im considering it.
Saw a couple on ebay last night that may be had for a little less than new price.
I dont foresee any real problems with these units as there not that complex.
 
I don't like the position of the pitch/mod wheels on the Midiman controller. I prefer them next to, as opposed to above the keys.

I think you'd be better off with one of the Evolution controllers. They cost less and do just as much.

I just bought one of these last weekend. Although I haven't owned any other controller before- I think this one is really cool for the price. I bought the 25 key model because I can't play the piano with both hands at the same time- it was only $120- as opposed to a comparable keyboard that selling for $200. The USB port saves you from have to buy an $80 midi box as well. I'm not really sure what else to say, but if you have any specific questions- lemme know and I'll try to get you an answer.
 
What $80 MIDI box?

25 keys for $120? Has to be the Oxygen 8 that you're talking about.

There are keyboards that have more keys and cost less. :(

Unless you need assignable knobs, I'd steer clear of the Oxy8.

All of the new models from Evolution have USB connectiblity.

Yeah- I have the Oxygen 8. The knobs were very much a plus for me because this keyboard is my only hardware at this point- so I figured it'd make things a bit easier. Don't mean to recommend it since I don't know too much about what's out there- so should I regret owning it myself? I think it's a kick-ass lil' keyboard though. Looks like a toy..hehehe..
