Midi!!!!!!!!

MIDI.... god damnit I used to do computer programming and got straight A's in those courses, and I cannot figure out MIDI!!! this is what I am trying to do.... using my little fostex mr-8 I want to sync it to my boss dr 670 just to have it start at a certain part of the song, and then using that, sync it to my j station to change amp models through out the song.... how do i do that?

I'll keep an eye on this thread.....I think we're in the same boat! I bought my kid a midi controller for Christmas and I can't get the dang thing to work.

Perhaps I should be looking in the midi forum, but it's a Studiologic cmk-137. I only paid like $80 for it at zzounds. Fact is, I know nothing AT ALL about it. I figured the instructions would shed some light, but it just shows how to hook it up. Bottom line...when he presses a key, he expects to hear a sound of some sort. His computer is an old hand me down p1, I think only 83 mhz, sb16 card, windows 95. Uhh...any help would be appreciated.
