This may be a mute question but here I go. I would like to know what is the easiest way to go about creating drum patterns for original work. I have heard of CD's which contain styles disks(curious are these in Midi or wav formats) and are they fairly easy to sequence. Is it merely a cut and paste thing. Would a dedicated drum machine be the way to go? Is software for creating patterns better than the machine and if so what software. Not to interested in Band-in-a-Box had earlier versions. I realize there are many variables. Using Cubasis VST to record with. I also realize I need a new sound card as my onboard sound is conflicting with the cubase program. I currently have an intel 500 with 128 meg ram and 32 meg video. The sound is an onboaRD c-media 16 bit full duplex chip. Sorry to go on and on. Any help would be great.
