midi volume

midi volume help!!!

i have done it before to audio trax,and one other middi trax,but dont remember how i did it you drop dowm the trax list and the first one says volume ,,then you hit the green"R",,and the blue line appears ,,then you can put a dot and control the volume or a f.x,to,the trax,,,I JUST WANT TO RAisE AND LOWER SOME POINTS in THE MIDDI TRAX i cant i do that to a middi trax,,i just want to use the volume,well let me know you people if there is a way i can use this feature for middi,it would be a big help and best regards !!!!

i know i dont know everything but this is driven me nuts ,,i use mostly vsti's in my work,and some of it needs to be lower in certain points of the song ,i tryed to use the volicity to lower the someofthe points in the middi track,am i making any sense with how im exsplaining this,please some one try to help me out,thanx
 
Your English leaves a lot to be desired but i think i know what you mean.

I dont understand however why the technique you are using does not work. Drop down the track menu as you said, select volume and turn on the R button so that the black volume line turns blue. Now draw your volume curve by either using the pointer tool to create red dots or the pencil tool to manually draw in any curves. Make sure you leave the R button pressed in or this information will be ignored and press play. If you have done this and it is not working then it must be the VSTi you are using.

if this is the case then bring up the mixer and locate the VSTi output fader you wish to automate. Select the W button this time and press record on the transport bar. Move the fader a little and press stop. You will now have a VSTi automation track on the arrange page which can be edited using the above paragraph. Be sure to turn the W button of first though.

i know me english isbad and my terminologyis not that great eather but i will try what you said ..i didtry to use the blue line where you would put dots and make curves and stuff,,but as far as my vsti;s, i dont know they all work rather well ,,,well thanx for the reply ill let you know how i did when i get home from work,,,best regards!!!
