MIDI 'volume' problems??

I have a Yamaha Clavinova CLP-360 electric piano with midi out. This goes to a Terratec EWX 24/96 audio card through a midi cable, into Cubase SX.
When I use a VST (drum)instrument like BS Artist Drums the volume (velocity?) is very low when I hit a note on the piano in comparison with when I hit the same note in the pianoview of the VST instrument. It seems like the midi signal from the piano is not at it's full 'volume', like I always hit the note very softly. This happened to me with another (drum)VST instrument too. I'm not that good with midi yet and really searched boards like this for some time now... I hope some can help me out with this.

Some EPs have config'able velocity curve & respons. You probably need to config your Clavinova's if it does.

Most "Onscreen keyboard" will play VSTi (or any softsynth for that matter) on highest velocity (127), that's why you heard it louder than Clav controled.
