Midi timing in HS2002 is off

Hi, I have used Hs2002 for the past two years on a pc with Windows 98 with no problem. I just built a new pc running win XP & installed HS 2002 again. I'm using the SB live card from the old PC temporarily.
The audio tracks are fine but the Midi are off. There is no latency while playing the notes, I can play along while recording & it sounds fine but when i play it back the midi plays ahead of the song by a half measure or more.
If I record while in piano roll view i can see the notes recording ahead ( to the left) of the time line. Is there a conflict with Hs 2002 & XP? THANKS
 
Strange! Have you tried rolling back to the Microsoft drivers for you SB Live! ?

Rightclick My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> (Find your SB Live! in the list) Right-click on it -> Properties -> Driver -> Roll Back driver
