Midi Thru?

I'll get right to it ...I have 2 keyboards and 1 sound module...I use 1 keyboard to play the sounds from the module using midi in and out..is it possible for me to use the second keyboard at the SAME TIME with the SAME MODULE? For example keyboard #1 plays channel 1-8 and keyboard #2 plays 8-16 all using sounds from the module? Everything is midi compatable, Any help is greatly appreciated...thanks.....

Yes, but you need a midi merger. Some company (pocket midi - or something like that) used to to make one. I think a search on the net should tell you where to find one. They used to be pretty inexpensive. You would plug both keyboards into 2 midi ins and run an out from the merger to the module. Don't think you can do it with just midi thru. The midi thru basically takes recieved info, allows it to be used by the synth, then passes it on to wherever it is connected.
