Look Mom, I can play!
Help!
Downloaded MIDI files that previously played have suddenly gone mute. Audio is okay and even combined MIDI and audio plays back but the original MIDI tracks - silence.
I've checked that the MIDI volume control in Win 98 is not muted, and I've checked that all my other methods of MIDI playback work okay but CW8 still refuses to break the silence. I've obviously done sonmething unwittingly that has caused this to occur. Question is what?
The only thing I have done that may have an influence is that I have loaded the latest version of Windows media player, could that have anything to do with it? I am using a SB64 s/c.
The track(s) shows Source: none (or MIDI Omni but it makes no difference, its still stays silent), Port:AWE 64 MIDI out (330), Channel: 1
Got any ideas anyone?
