Hi, I'm pretty new to MIDI so bear with me. I have my Roland TD-6 V-Drum Module hooked up to my M-Audio FW 410 via midi cables. I recorded a MIDI track from my TD-6 into Cubase SX3, that worked fine. But when I disconnect the TD-6 and played it back, no sound comes out. Is there a way to get the drum sounds on my module to stay on Cubase with out keeping the midi cables hooked up?

you have to make an audio track. MIDI doesn't have sound. It's just a bunch of commands. Without the drum module there is nothing that can produce the sounds. So to do what you want to do you have play back your MIDI tracks with the drum module on while having an audio track on record. The MIDI tracks will then be recorded onto an audio track. I suggest you read up on MIDI. A good site for this is http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm Read the MIDI section. Hell read all of the articles.
