I have recently bought a Casio wk-3000 keyboard and I have computer with Windows ME. I also use a music editing software called Magix Playr Delux. I have used the computer and the Magix software for about 3 years. I installed the software that came with the midi input cables (Yamaha). The input from the keyboard goes through the USB port on the front of the PC. I have the connections hooked up properly and the indicator light on the Midi cables indicate the signal is traveling to the computer. I cannot record anything from the keyboard when I am in the Magix software. The recording bars do not register a signal when I play. I have tried to change the recording settings in my computer and the midi device is not an option listed as a choice on the drop down box for recording. It is listed in the Midi Playback section but the setting is not saved after click OK and exit audio settings. Is the problem with the Magix software or do I need a new sound card that will recognize Midi for recording? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
