Hi, I've recently gone back to CoolEdit after I gave up trying to work MIDI in Cubase.

I've connected up my Korg keyboard via MIDI to my computer. When in CoolEdit you can tell the keyboard is hooked up as at the bottom of the screen it tells you what note you're pressing.

However I can't seem to record the sound and its driving me nuts. It must be really really simple but I looked in the help files and couldn't find anything. I always seems to want to record WAV and not MIDI....

I was assuming that when I press record it would record whatever I played but I think CoolEdit is still looking for a WAV output and not MIDI. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks

could be mistaken as CEP 2 is about eight years old but I do not believe it supported MIDI record

you could insert a MIDI file into multitrack session

even with current AA 3.1 MIDI support is more or less an afterthought
