not sure if i should post this here....i bought a Edirol usb midi interface with one midi in 1 midi out and a usb out. i use cubase LE and the midi works and everything (it records the midi data and plays the synth sounds i want) but i need to now EXACTLY what to do to turn the recorded midi information into an audio track so i can mix it in/eq/etc.. how do i do this?

Well are you using the midi track through a soft synth or are you driving it directly through some MIDI hardware?

MIDI is data and not sound. Many people using different brands of DAW have this same question. They'll put down a MIDI strings track and then wonder why it doesn't show up as an audio track. You have to record the MIDI track to audio within your DAW. I know this sounds over-simplified but it works. The previous poster who but up the link, steered you in the right direction. Just remember that MIDI is data and not actual sound. Now if your using a MIDI controller to play a soft-synth, that's a different story.
