I'm a noob. There. I said it.

I recently purchased a MacBook pro with the most recent OS. I recently purchased the current version of Logic Pro X. Everything is all fine and dandy.

I installed the current driver for my audio interface. Midi studio and logic both recognize it.

I installed current drivers for the keyboards I want to use. Everything is compatible, yet I can't hear shit.
Neither of the keyboards show up in the midi studio no matter what. They both trigger in logic, though, but with no sound.

I have no idea what I need to do, and YouTube isn't helping. Please help.

I'm formerly a PC user, using a different DAW, and this used to all be so simple.

Hey bandit,
Have you set up a virtual instrument? Don't want to patronise but you know the midi keyboards just send data, right? You need an instrument loaded to hear anything back.

I'm not sure that midi devices are meant to show up in midi studio automatically but if they're triggering in logic there's no problem that way.

You can patronize me all you'd like... 'cuz you were right. And now it works. I'm a dunce. Thank you very much.
