Hi,
Its a kind of a newbie question but cakewalk related
im starting out on home recording and trying to link up a keyboard as a controller (just for midi in really) and cakewalk just doesnt recognise any input. Im wondering if its my game port/windows xp where the problem is, as i have installed at work to test and it had an 'input' source in the midi box properties, where as at home it doesnt.
the keyboard is a Yamaha pss-750 jobbie i think.
Im running windows XP and the motherboard has a built in soundcard & gameport.(soltek sl75kav-x i think.......)
Im using one of those adapters that plugs into gameport and has a midi in and midi out cable.
Does anybody have any advice on how to get XP to recognise the midi port in if this is the case because i have looked to no great success.
Cheers
