i think i need a midi patch similar to midi yoke. i download a few of those files but they don't work for me. is there any other patches/drivers or what ever to get me on the road to recording in midi? i'm trying to record from a radio shack general midi into vegas video 3.0 and acid 4.0. i have the lynx one sound card and an hp computer. can anyone post a link for me?

Did you install the MIDI Yoke drivers? You have to do it through your 'add/remove hardware' wizard in your computer's control panel. The next thing is, you need a midi interface to get midi data from the keyboard to the computer. You can get a joystick port midi cable, which is just what it sounds like it is. A cable that plugs into your computer's joystick port with a pair of midi cables on the end; one for midi in, one for midi out. The MIDI Yoke thing is just to pass midi data to and from software programs. For example, if you wanted to record midi information from Sonar into Acid, you would link the two programs together with the MIDI Yoke virtual midi cable. As far as recording midi with Vegas, you might wanna check that out, cuz I don't think Vegas has any MIDI capabilities whatsoever. Acid 4.0 does. Search the web for midi info sites and do a bit of homework. There's tons of them out there.
