I'm a proud owner of Cubase 6, dongle in all :D Anyhow I program my drums and easily make beats but I was wondering how to make drum fills? I see that there are 1/32, 1/64, 1/128 triplets which seems appropriate to use for the fills I'm after, however when I select those options the grid doesn't change. I've searched around but couldn't find Sh*t. Could someone enlighten me with some knowledge about this? I'm programming rock and metal/hardcore genres. Thanks!

The grid wont change. You need to change the note placement in the drum editor as well as the quantize panel.

I think I should ask what drum program you are using, as well as how you are going about creating drum tracks. So, asking?

I'll be using Steven Slate drums 4.0 EX and I usually use the keyboard roll in Cubase 6, just a midi track.

Don't forget to tailor your velocities to reflect human dynamics.

That's the best advice I can give.

Cheers :)
