MIDI Editing Software

I need to edit some MIDI files. Basically I need to remove the lead instruments so that I will end up having a backing track. I do not own a keyboard that could do this but prefer to do it on my computer.

Are there anysoftware that will allow me to do this? Thanks.

Any MIDI sequencer will do this. You can find cheap ones or free ones at www.download.com

I haven't tried any of these. I use Cakewalk Sonar.
