Hi guys, new here. Hope you can help me.
Now I'm unsure whether this is a problem would have more to do with Pro Tools than a MIDI problem but it's confusing me.
For some reason my electric kit won't seem to work properly with Pro Tools. Using MIDI by USB to computer, trying to use a drumkit loaded on the computer. When I hit the pad, it doesn't always seem to make Pro Tools output the noise every time, maybe about only a third of the time. Yet, from the MIDI input meter in Pro Tools, it is definately recieving signal for every single hit, just for some reason isn't outputting it most the time.
And when I record, it records every single MIDI note I hit on the kit, ones that I didnt hear myself play when recording it, and when I play it back through the drum program on Pro Tools, it works perfectly.
Now when I plug in a MIDI keyboard, it works perfectly. The input of the keyboard matches the output of the virtual drums exactly. It's rather wierd that the electric kit isn't doing the same.
Oh, and when I tried using EzDrummers DFH, the electric kit worked fine. Something in Pro Tools is limiting the 'real time' (Is that the right word?) MIDI sounds output?
Thanks gice, this problem is driving me insane, having to do keyboard drum parts when I have a freaking drumkit sitting next to me.
