Hi All,

I've just got out all of my old equipment and plugged it all in - I haven't used any of it for about 14 years and can't remember the set up I had.

I *think* I used to have an Edirol soundcard, but then bought a new PC and now have (according to the system information folder) a SigmaTel soundcard.

Thing is, I can't get a signal from my Roland PC - 180A controller.
I'm using the old Edirol USB Midi Interface to connect it to my PC - is that why - is it not compatible?...although I'm sure I used to use it all together.
Thanks.

...just to clarify - I'm using an Edirol UM-1X midi interface to connect the keyboard to the PC...

I'm thinking that's the built in sound card and you need to install the drivers for the Edirol, assuming you can run the two together without problems.

Thanks Acidrock - I found some drivers for the Edirol and it's working fine now, but I have about a 1 second latency....so I'm guessing I'm going to need a decent soundcard.......just reading up on it now, but any suggestions more than welcome!
