Midi controller aliases

Anyone know how to assign alias names for midi controllers in SX?
Either globally or per device, per channel, port, whatever?

I'd like to use names of buttons and knobs etc. on my gear, to make the thought process easier.

Seems like there should be a utility to do this, but I can't find it. Maybe some file that can be edited?
