Midi conflict?

Hi,

My set-up is the following: midi out from the synth --> to midi in of my layla20bit soundcard. In nuendo I select a vst-instrument (mostly edirol super quartet) and that instrument is my midi-output. Until yesterday, when I played my synt, everything worked fine. But a day later, yes only one day, this set-up isn't working fine anymore. For example, everythime when I strike one of the E notes of my synt, the vst-output channel is being muted, when I press another note, the panning settings of that channel are changed, when I press the pedal of the synth, the channel is being muted ... . All strange thinks that worked so fine the day before. Can someone please explain me what is causing that? I already bought another midi cable but that doens't work. I tried another synt and it also doesn't help (I have the same probelms with it).

Thanks a lot,

Steven.

Sounds like your midi port is seen as an control surface input. Look in your settings and make sure that the midi port is not selected for the control surface input

Thanks altitude909 for the quick response. Unfortunately I don't know how or where I have to change it? Is it a setting in nuendo?

Thanks,

Steven.

it will be a setting in nuendo under devices

Hi,

Sorry but I can't find that setting in nuendo. I'll place a link to this thread on the cubase forum.

Thanks a lot anyway

Steven.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response. altitude909, finally solved the problem. You were totally right. Sorry it took so hard for me to change it. I'm new in the midi world :)

Thanks.
