MIDI Cable

I have yet to begin working with MIDI, but I have a basic understanding of it. I know that instead of sending audio it sends information related to the performance. My question is: since the cable only sends triggering information, is the cable quality as important as a guitar cable or a mic cable? If quality isn't as important, should I just buy the cheapest cable?

all cables are important when it comes to reliability. buy what you can afford but don't skimp to save a buck.

It's a lot less important with a slow digital signal like midi. Look for cables that are well made, beyond that, it should not matter
