Hey outhere!?

I am so please to have found this forum, this may help me to end my nightmare!?

I am using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9. I use a P4 1.3 Ghz. A USB key in. Also, using a Edirol Studio Canvas.

I'm composing drums tracks first, thats ok. I am arming a track for audio in from my Edirol analog input, but the midi track is blending in my audio recording... I know if I mute the midi track it's ok, but I need it to perform, any solution?

Thanks!

What sound card are you using.

You probably need to go into the sound card's mixer (or the windows mixer) and make sure ONLY Line In is selected as the recording source. It sounds like you have What U Hear, or Stereo Mix, or something similar selected.

Not familiar with this, but the answer is probably the same. Go into the mixing applet that came with the program (or the windows mixer if none came with the program) and select only Line In as the recording source.

Is it because my sound module is also use as my midi playbask device? Cause, i only select on source as input?...

Possibly, although I would think you could still playback MIDI while recording audio. I believe even the soundblaster cards were capable of that.

The key is what is selected as the RECORDING source. There should be a section in your mixing applet for selecting Playback Devices and a separate section for selecting Recording Devices.

However, not being familiar with your hardware, I'm only making some guesses here.
