At first I recorded MIDI rhythm, piano, and bass.
Than vocal...
Several audio tracks later I tried to add MIDI track (strings). When I played back, my new string track and previous tracks aren't together. Strings track came out ahead of the rest. What's going on?

Since I'm working for someone else' album, it's very important for me to know what to do. Thanks in advance for your help.

What is your timing source?

Sounds like you recorded the original MIDI files using one clock source, then recorded the audio using another source and now when you are trying to record more midi tracks, it is synching to the audio, not the previous MIDI clock source.

Give us more details on your system set up - particularly as it relates to the audio card and midi card.

Ciao,

I'm using LynxOne sound card, JV1010, and sonar2.0.
I never had this problem before with ProSuite (PA9)

I got the answer from Cakewalk tech support yesterday:

"It sounds as if your soundcard/MIDI Interface drivers are corrupt or outdated. Download and install the latest drivers from Lynx's website, or if you have the latest drivers, reinstall the ones that you have. Then, delete the files AUD.INI and TTSSEQ.INI located in your SONAR folder on your hard drive. Then, under Options | MIDI Devices, make sure that Midi Mapper and any Wave/Soft synth is not selected. Instead, select the MIDI Synth for the internal sounds or the MIDI Out/MPU401 if you have an external midi device. Next, under Options | Audio | Drivers, only select your LynxOne wave in and out, do not select any voice modems or other drivers."

My system seems to work fine now after I deleted AUD.INI and TTSSEQ.INI, then let Sonar recrete those two files.

Cool!

Seems like those two files get corrupted a lot.

Rock On!
