the bridge humbucker pickup has a feedback when i play.i dont know if this a microphonic pickup problem...but it really pissed me off...
how can in fixed this..should i replace the pickup??

thanx

Yes, you need to replace the pickup.

I had the same problem with my G & L F100, and I put up with it for too long. I finally had a Seymour Duncan Trembucker installed and it sounds great, with no feedback.

You could also remove it from the guitar, melt some wax and dip the coils in the molten wax.

Microphonic pickups are caused by the coils not being wound completely tight, and taht looseness causes them to feedback. The wax when it cools will prevent the windings from moving.

Make sure the wax is not so hot that it melts the bobbins.

If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, send them to Lindy Fralin in (?) Richmond, I think. Go to Google and do a search. He is th eman for everything pickup related.

I agree with Foo, all pickups should be potted anyway, if I remember rightly Stewmac had some info on doing it yourself.
