I'm putting together a simple home studio for recording music vocals, and I was hoping someone could give me advice on which type of microphone I should use. Thanks for the help.

There are probably thousands that could do the job for you. What's your budget, what sort of voice do you have, what style of music do you do and what make/model of interface will you be using?

I'm willing to spend a few hundred for a quality mic I want good crisp quality. I do hip/hop, rap, r&b type of music. Right now I just have a basic m-audio box and use logic as my software.

I use an Oktavia 319 that I love i got it for 90 dollars was mint

Really at this point in your learning curve, any decent condenser should work fine. Once you really get a grasp of what you're trying to achieve, then I'd worry about specific mics
