Hi, im hoping to record myself playing my gongs.I have several of varying sizes and pitch and have already attempted to record my efforts with varying degrees of success using basic equipment.
I would appreciate any recommendations to a microphone, or pair or more that you might feel suitable for recording the complex character of my gongs.
I would also welcome any recommendations for a microphone that i can use to plug into a tuner to anaylize and determine the tune of a gong.Im thinking of purchasing one of the Peterson strobe series.
Ive already spent some time reading older and recent posts in the Mic section, so ive gained a great deal of insight, which i shall refer back to, to try and educate myself.

Thankyou very much

Paul

Most if not all tuners sold today have built in microphones in them so no need to get a microphone for that purpose.
And I believe that on John Bonham's gong all that was used for the micing was from the over head microphones.
