So I have about $400 to work with and I want to buy a microphone and USB or firewire audio interface for my computer.
I'm trying to decide between these three audio interfaces: (listed from lowest to highest price)
1)M-audio Fast Track Pro
http://www.djdeals.com/maudioFASTTRACKPRO.htm
2)Presonus Inspire 1
http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.co...PIRE-1394-FireWire-Audio-Interface?sku=241483
3)Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1
http://www.djdeals.com/nativeinstrumentsAUDIOKONTROL1.htm
Can anyone compare the microphone preamps on each of these for me? Are any of them terrible? Are any really great? I'm also not sure if the bundled software with the AudioKontrol is worth the extra dough.
Anyway in the microphone field I'm trying to decide between:
Shure KSM26

MXL V88

AKG Perception 220
http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/AKG-Perception-220-Condenser-Microphone?sku=271291
About the MXL V88: what's the difference between it and the V87. Does the 87 really have lower noise?
I will be using this mic to record a wide variety of things: my voice, guitar, mandolin, accordion, piano, etc. The point is I need it to be as versatile as possible while still having a good sound. Basically I need something with minimal noise and not too thin a sound. Any advice? If there's a good mic in the $100-$200 range for what I want to do that I haven't found could someone please tell me?
Also I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, I figured since it dealt with mics I'd put it here. Thank you so much for any advice.
