how do i use my microkorg synth to control the vst's i got in cubase, what do i need, what is most inexpensive?

at the moment i use my digital multitrack recorder to record songs and things. i now want to take advantage of the sound available through the vsts, without having to constantly transfer to and from my pc and digital recorder.

cheers

I use my MicroKorg as a midi controller all the time. Just turn "local" off on the Microkorg (so you don't hear its sounds) and then plug it in via midi to your interface. That's it.

You need to set it up as a midi controller in Cubase. Does your soundcard have a midi port? If not I think there is a midi to USB adapter that can be used. Your cubase manual should outline how to setup a midi controller.
