Micing crappy 15 watt marshall amp with SM58

Anyone got tips for micing a marshall MG15CDR amp with a SM58? I try placing the mic at the cone of the amp, or 45 degreed, but the sound gets weak compared to what I hear when I play. Anyone got tips on how to achieve the best sound out of this crappy amp?

that's just it.. It is a crappy little amp. There is no magic formula that I know of, or ever heard of that transforms shit into pure bliss. As they say.."garbage in...garbage out"

However, that said, I haven't had a problem getting a decent recorded sound!! It just sounds like dog crap live!!
