Lol oh man, sounds like the theme for some 80's hard ass-cop action-hero chuck-norris television show.

Really nice tune as always, has that really ambient 80's classic rock hair metal sound to it.

Not really too much I can input criticism-wise as of now.

thanks ninja

well, this is a demo..... really just throwing down a quick idea, and now i need to expand it.

and the back story is, my buddy michael decided to buy a house, in an area that used to be a very fine neighborhood, but over time, it became a ghetto area, a 'crack' neighborhood, but this house was in perfect condition, and had been owned by only one owner and well taken care of.

michael decided he wanted to take a step at taking back the neighborhood, and getting some of his friends to also purchase houses in the area (property values were in the crapper, so you could get one of these houses for a song)

so, i'll develop the lyrics a bit more.

it was intentional not to make the lead vocal super hot or clear...
i recorded the vocal thru a SM57 running into an overdriven guitar amp.

i like the idea of blending the lyric with the sound of the band, it's more about the angst of the lyric, than having someone sing along with it..

i will probably stay with the distorted vocal, the purpose of the demo was to see if it worked for me, and it does in this case.
so i'll have to spend some time really carving EQ and panning, to get the vocal more clear, while keeping the distorted edge to it i want.

wow, not many hard rockers around anymore.....

it aint metal.
it aint blues.
it aint funk.
i don't know what else to call it......

i thought a few might dig the wide open guitar sounds....
pure volume, just a great chance to run the amp wide open and see how to craft a sound...
so i think i'm going to stick with the idea of the guitar sound....

the arrangement, i've decided to add a break down section, a key change, keep the same meter, but a completely different drum approach.

i like the MANIC feel of the drive of the sound, but the little machine loop i used to build the basic riff up, is annoying.

LOL

The drums need humanizing.
Is that the bass fuzzed under the chorus vocal?
Great playing as usual.

sorry i missed these replys, guys...

thanks for listening.
i gotta figure out how to keep the high energy vibe, but make it non annoying!
LOL

yes, the drums was a simple loop from a Zoom123 machine.
it was just used to do the tempo....
but that driving beat, made the song be written the way it is, and that's the part i like, so now i gotta figure out how to handle a new drum track.

the bass is not fuzzed, it's just the way the bass is playing unison with the guitars, which are heavily gained.
they match up perfect, so it makes the bass sound fuzzed out.....
