Just got a pair of these from Oktavamod and had a chance to use them live on a choir. Very impressed with the sound and available gain. Of course one trial is hardly conclusive but I certainly cannot report anything negative. Looking forward to comparing them to stock 603's, AKG 391's and Oktava mk-012's in the near future. I traded Michael a pair of SM 81's and some $$$$ for the pair of modded 603's. Well worth it.
 
Well I hope I don't like them more than the 603's or I'll be forced to buy a pair. We all know there are only so many mics you can use. :D

Interesting. As much as I love Michael's work, I own both mics and I would have considered that a lateral move at best.
