this is my first post. it's not as scary luckily as losing my virginity! My question. I would like to be able to manipulate a mic like a guitar or amp to get a variety of tones. i sing country and have a deep voice but it often sounds muffled. for recording as well as performing what can i do to instantly change tones, or is it possible to use say two mics at the same time.

thanks

Hey buddy, help us out a bit here.

What are you using for a mic? What preamp? What recording format? What mic placements?

This kind of thing can help people like me make recommendations that are relevent to your situation.

There are no "overall" techniques in recording. Only things to try until you get the sound you want.

Well...

You could maybe get some type of Eq pedal(s) that you could trigger. I dunno, it's an odd question. If you are saying that your overall sound is bad then like Ed said, what mic, what pre etc. etc.
