I came across a book that talked about using mic cable splitters to attach one mic cable to two snakes. Has anyone ever seen one? If so...where?

I'm afraid I cant tell you where to get one but they usually look like a snake box or a rackmount patchbay type of unit.
It pretty much is just a patch bay with splitters wired in. I'm not sure if they make active ones to help boost the signal after being split.

PS. They are usually used for live sound to split the signals between the main board and the monitor mixer. Look for them at places that carry live sound gear.
