I have a MXL 9090 dual capsule condenser mic. One side is bright, the other is warm.

Recently, the warm side stopped working. The LED lights up which indicates that the phantom power is being supplied. The bright side works as normal. I don't think the diaphragm is busted because the mic makes no noise at all when that side is activated. I was just wondering if it would be worth it to take the mic apart and see if it can be repaired. I can solder and do almost anything else it would take but I just need to know how fragile those mics are to be worked on.
So either I take it apart and attempt to fix it, or I just live with one good side and not risk breaking it too.......
What do you think??
