Mic Preamp

Does the Fostex VM88 Digital Mixer have mic preamps in it...or do i have to get a seperate mic preamp unit for vocals/guitars ect. I looked at one that is an 8 input mic preamp (for all the drum mics)...but if the mixer has good enough mic preamps for what i need them for then i would rather skip getting the mic preamp unit.

The piece refers to mic/line inputs. Don't know if those are mic pres or not.

i *think * im thinking about the same mixer as you. 8 analog ins, 8 adats in, 8 automated faders, fx.

if it is this mixer, the preamps weren't that great. id recomend you got external preamps.
