Hi, i'm putting up a modest home studio, and have been reading a lot about the acoustic treatment - absorbers, deflectors, bass traps and everything..
the room is going to be for both recording and editing/mixing (computer station). room size is about 3x3.5 meters.
although i found a lot of info about how to place the acoustic treatment around the computer station, i haven't found any info about where to put the microphone in the room, where is the best singing/playing spot? i know there's a lot of trial an error and "sweet spot" finding to this, but i still wanna get some theoretical guide lines that can help me here.
where would you put the mic in a standard acoustic treated room, something like this:
