Can you please tell me whats the difference between

a Phase switch?

Phase spliter?

Polarity switch?

What are the Phase angles or degrees for each of these ?

For using 2 mics i heard its best to flip one of the polarity

or phases of one of the mics

whats the difference between polarity vs phase?

Does the Frequency cancel out on both mics when its the
same frequency?

Wont there be notches if i flip one of the mics polarity or phase?

How do i set my Stereo Channels to have the Right Polarity ?
i seen phase and polarity switches on consoles to set the phase
of the channels how do i do this?

I'm beginning to think I was wrong about outlasting you walters. You must be one bored individual. Maybe a good night sleep will make me feel better about my good fwiend walters the farting dog? Hit the Analog Forum yet?

1.) switches the phase
2.) splits the phase
3.) switches the polarity
4.) 180, 0, and either 180 or not applicable
5.) polarity reversal is the switching in an electronic circuit from +/- to -/+. phase is the comparison of audio waveform cycles from 0 to 360 degrees and in degrees and even minutes and seconds or radians graduations or decimal degrees of the phase
6.) maybe
7.) maybe not
8.) I don't know

Thanks Snow Lizard

I would think since Polarity switches the waveform 360 degrees

i would cancel out waveforms that are the same on the pair on mics

Phase Splitter:
Splitting the Phase to have 2 outputs of one waveform

in phase and the other out of phase
