Hey, i have this pc mic that's connected to these headphones that's used for the computer...

I thought it would be a cool idea to use this mic during band practise whilst playing drums as i do back-up vocals and i thought i'd give it a try for fun (not intending to record with the mic, or use it in live shows), but for some reason the mic doesn't send any signal to the mixer?

I tried to see if it was the 1/8" to 1/4" adapter that was the problem. nope.

I tried to see if it was the input on the mixer. nope.

I tried to see if it was the mic, it works on the pc when plugged into the 'mic' input, so i thought it might have something to do with the preamp, but the preamps on the mixer are definitly better than the pc soundcard so i dont know what to do!

I even tried turning phantom power on for a second just to see (even though i knew the mic wasnt a condensor)

Any help??

You need to find out how the mic is wired to the connector. Then you will, most likely, have to make your own adapter. If the plug is a TRS 1/8, my guess is that the sleeve is ground, the ring is the mic, and the tip is the ear piece.

I could be wrong, but I believe those mics (pc mics) need 1.5V power supplied by the soundcard in your computer. There's probably a way to wire a battery into the circuit of the mic so you can use an external preamp, but generally those mics are soooo crappy that it wouldn't be worth it.
