I'm having a little trouble with this Sterling audio ST 59 studio mic i just recently purchased. The guy showed me it worked, then disassembled it, later that day I reassembled it and it worked, even ran it through the compressor into a bass amp and it worked. Woke up this morning and tried and got nothing, I hear a faint echo of mic check through the mixer or compressor. or ran through both. Every thing is plugged in right and turned up correctly. I changed my mic cable and STILL not working. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any flaws with this mic or experience with them? I do not know what the 3 setting/switches on the side of the mic going around it does. Maybe that has something to do with it, I messed with it, but got nothing. Thanks for the help!

Sometimes the end of the mic gets dirty..... with the channel muted plug in and unplug the mic several times or more what your doing is cleaning the XLR connections of the mic .....I've heard it called reaming the mic..
I've had this happen to me with a few mics through out the years and this has seemed to correct the problem ,hopefully for you too!
