mic for vocals?

ok i record hiphop vocals..and i just started building my studio..right now i have m-audio bx8 monitors, and m-audio DMP3 preamp. im about to order a delta 1010lt..so now my only question is a mic

i know this has been asked alot but im trying to spend under 200$. since im recording rap vocals, i dont need a colerfull sound (correct?).

what would u guys recommend? thanks

Best bang for your buck might be the ADK Hamburg/Vienna, *if* you can snag a good deal. I got mine for $235 with shockmount and 1 year warranty off ebay.

I say ADK Hamburg because of the $ restrictions you put on the mic choice. Another great mic at that price is a CAD M179. Another is an Audio Technica 4040 or for a different flavor 4033. AKG 2000 might work for you as well.

I've read that the AT2020 can be good for rap vocals. You could find one of those for about 100.
