I'm in the beginning of a mic modding bender.
So I have a handful of mics I want to A/B as in unmod, then modded. I've seen "Mic shootouts" that place two or even four in a up/down or fourway cross configuration. Looking for opinions on this. I'm not looking for perfect science here, just a general idea, and want to get samples of voice/acoustic guitar/ amp'd guitar and maybe amp'd Rhodes and very maybe acoustic piano. I'm thinking up/down and split the difference on axis, rather then try to line up four at a time.
