mic advice

fellas,I need a good condensor and/or dynamic mic for recording rap vocals...also a decent mic pre would also be nice...any advice?
I can spend about 5 bones on the setup if that helps

I use a AUDIO TECHNICA 4033 (replaced by AT4040 $299) and I'm impressed by it everytime I record some vocals. I have it on a ART TUBE MP ($99) preamp and that's about the bottom of the barrel on preamps. I'm thinking that on a new $500 preamp I might have the exact mic sound i'm wanting...

Once you get into the 300+ range you start dealing with some nice sounding mics. Same thing on the pres...

good lookin out fellas...I always just drop instrumentals but now I'm trynna get some vocalists on my tracks.....unfortunately by never using a vocalist before I really don't have any real knowledge when it comes to mics and pres but luckily I got ya'll to school me in that aspect........thanks for the love
