Mic advice ?

I am in the market for a new mic.
These are the candidates.

AT 4040
Studio Projects TB1
Studio Projects C1

I aleady own A Studio projects B1
and an AT 3035.
So i am looking for something more dedicated to Vocals.

I realy need your help here.
I think I am leaning towards the AT 4040, but a tube Mic realy sounds like something I could use.

Any of those mics will be a step up from the AT3035 and B1 in my opinion... the TB1 is going to be a bit better than the C1... people seem to like the AT4040. This is kind of one of those things where you've narrowed it down to some good choices and just have to try them out. See what you like.

Lee before you make a purchase check out an SE H3500 and an ADK Hamburg. Both mics are excellent IMHO and can be bought for well under $300. I have some LDC that cost much more than these mics but I end up using them over mics like the U195, KSM44, AT4050, more times than not on my vox. Check them out and trust your ears. There are links below for the mics on ebay. The SE has ended but the guy will put more up. Good luck.
