I'm curious to hear from those of you out there that are using the Mia card with SONAR XL.

What kind of latency are you achieving, and what OS are you using?

Thanks,

Tony

MIA Card

Tonester,

while i am not running Sonar XL, i do have the MIA. I'm interested to know if you have any tips on it, as i just got it. I've been having trouble optimizing the levels of all the virtual outs and the inputs. I either can record very quiet or way too loud -- there's no middle ground.

Any suggestions?
Rob

are you messing with the +4 -10 switch?

Tony

What are you changing that is getting you this result?
if you are changing the +4 -10 setting and getting this result then it should be set to +4 (this should be the quiet setting) then you should raise the gain going in with an external device (mixer).

I am assuming you do not have an external mixer and that is why you are having problems. Just my guess.

Oh ya you could jack the input gain by using preamp out on a guitar amp as oposed to a mic if you are recording guitar. it is against the rules sound wise but some times you have to work with what you have.

Good luck

Any problems other than as mentioned earlier in post with Mia ? Please see Echo MIA - Random Static Clicks thread on Soundcards.

Got to build DAW this week....

Cheers

I don't actully own this card, I'm looking to possibly purchase it, and I'm curious to see if other users out there like it, and if they have achieved decent results with SONAR XL.
I understand that set up properly, you can assign vitrtual synths reason, etc, to the virtual outputs.

Thanks,

Tony
