Hello:
I m new to this forum although I have been hangin with the GS for awhile now.
Anyway, Here is my set up:
ISA 428, DBX 376, > octopre > Rosetta 800 > Digi 002rack > G5 dual 1.8
The problem I have is to get the best out of my Rosetta, I am having to pass ISA through the Octopre. The reason be that I do alot of multitracking, usually 12 tracks simultaneously, so this lets me get ISA pres and the focusrite octo-pres through all 8 channels of Rosetta.
First off the Rosetta is AWESOME! It made a huge dimensional difference in my recordings. However, I know I am shooting myself passing my ISA through the octopre.
So one option is to sell the octopre and Rosetta
and purchase the ISA 428 digital expansion card which gives me 8 channels of A/D with soft limit and maybe I would have enough money to purchase a nice mic pre or channel strip.
I would really like to know if anyone has used the digital option enough to know how it stands next to the Rosetta (Clock and coverter wise)
or maybe there would be any suggestions for getting around the octopre?
