Metronome problems w/ cubase and firepod

I just set up my presonus firepod and other recording equipment. I want to record, but I can't hear the metronome through my monitors or headphones, what is the problem? I can see that it's doing the clicks, I just can't hear it. Please help.

The firepod has no MIDI synth to make those clicks into audio.

Make a midi track of quarter notes and run it through the universal sound module.
